Fox Wire Farm Alpacas 2018 Shearing Tour Schedule

Fox Wire Farm Alpacas 2018 Shearing Tour Schedule. Our Alpaca Shearing is scheduled for the 15th of April 2018. Both Farm Tour Buses will be utilized for the Shearing Tours so there will not be any other Farm Tours scheduled or conducted on the 15th as we've got ~90 Alpacas to shear this year!

Buses will be departing the Boutique on the half hour from 0900 – 1130 and from 1330 – 1500. Tours will be approximately one hour from start to finish. For example for those taking taking the bus at 0900 they will arrive at the Farm ~ 0910. Shearing Tour from 0915 – 0945. Depart the farm ~0950 and arrive back at the Boutique at ~1000.

Tourists will be able to witness a "puff ball" alpaca walk in and a "butt naked" alpaca walk out! It is really COOL to see how this is safely done and how quickly the shearers can go from one alpaca to another. We will also discuss what we do with all of their luxurious fiber once its "harvested."

Maximum number of tourists per bus is 25. Cost is $5.00 per person regardless of age. Admission will be collected at the Boutique. Credit Cards are warmly welcomed, however there will be a $0.50 surcharge applied per person to cover credit card merchant fees. Buses will leave promptly at their assigned time of departure.

Reservations are highly encouraged however walk-ins will be accommodated once those on the schedule are seated. Please call 757.707.5052 to get on the schedule or if you have any questions. First Come, First Served will apply. As stated above all tours begin and end at the Boutique which is located at 8105 Richmond Road, Suite 201, Toano, VA 23168. There will be plenty of parking available in front of the Boutique and behind.

Lastly, please take note…. please do not try to access the farm unless you belong here. Those who try will be politely turned away by Farm Security and given directions to the Boutique. Thank you!
